CMI Rio 2026

On May 12, 13, 14 and 15, 2026, the Brazilian Association of Maritime Law will host the international meeting of the International Maritime Committee (IMC) in Rio de Janeiro, this being only the third time that South America will host an event of the entity.


The IMC is a non-profit, non-governmental entity founded in 1897 in Antwerp, Belgium, and is the oldest and most traditional international organization dedicated to the unification of Maritime Law.


The event will take place at the Windsor Barra Hotel, in the city of Rio de Janeiro and is expected to attract around 400 participants, including foreigners and Brazilians, as well as 70 speakers, including public managers, authorities, lawyers, professionals and executives from the sector, members of academia, among others.
