ABDM
The Brazilian Association of Maritime Law - ABDM - is a non-profit entity, independent of any segments of capital and labor, founded in 1961, which brings together the community interested in the legal issues of navigation and ports, in addition to representing the country internationally within the scope of the Maritime International Committee - CMI.
Its institutional role is to advise public authorities in their policies aimed at navigation and ports, as well as to promote the dissemination and improvement of maritime law, as well as its standardization according to international standards.
ARBITRATION
Arbitration is an alternative method of traditional dispute resolution in the navigation segment, having as benefits the specialization of the arbitrators who will judge the dispute, the consequent quality of the decision, speed of the process and confidentiality if so chosen by the parties.
Including an arbitration arbitration clause in a contract can bring great advantages to both parties.
